Albion have signed defender Leo Skiri Ostigard from Norwegian Eliteserien side Molde FK on undisclosed terms.
The 18-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will initially link up with Albion’s under-23 squad.
Ostigard made his senior debut for Molde in June 2017, before joining second-tier side Viking Stavanger on a loan deal for the 2018 season.
He has also represented Norway at under-19 level, where he has been capped six times and has scored once in a European Championship qualifier against Germany in March.
Albion boss Chris Hughton said: “We are pleased to welcome Leo to the club and I am looking forward to seeing how he progresses here.
“He is a young player, and he has already gained some experience playing in Norway, and for his country with their under-19s.
“Initially he will link up with Simon Rusk and our under-23 squad, but we will be monitoring his progress.”
