Albion have loaned out summer signing Percy Tau to Tony Bloom's Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise for the season.
The 24-year-old South Africa forward joined the Seagulls last month from Mamelodi Sundowns for an undisclosed fee with a view to an initial loan.
He will spend the campaign with the second tier side recently taken over by Albion chairman Bloom.
Albion's development pathway manager David Weir said: “Percy is a talent we have brought to the club for the future, and this loan allows him to play regular senior football here in Europe.
“It is a significant investment for us, and we will be closely watching his progress with Union and monitoring his development over the season.”
USG are off to a slow start to the season, losing both league games to date as well as suffering defeat in the Belgian Cup.
