Albion's young Serbian striker Bojan Radulovic has gone back to Spain on loan to fourth tier club RCD Espanyol B for the season.

Radulovic made a handful of appearances for the under-23s and under-18s last season after joining the Seagulls from Lleida in January, despite competition from Spurs and Brugge.

Under-23s coach Simon Rusk said: "This is a great opportunity to get some minutes under his belt and further his development in Spain.

"Chances have been limited for Bojan, but he's shown real potential for the future and we'll be keeping track of his progress throughout the season."

Radulovic (below) scored three goals in two games for the under-18s last season. He featured as a late substitute in the promoted under-23s opening draw against Liverpool earlier this month.

The Argus: He was recommended to Albion by Belgium's World Cup boss Roberto Martinez via his friendship with Albion's head of recruitment Paul Winstanley from their time together at Wigan.

Radulovic will be monitored at Espanyol B by David Weir. The ex-Scotland international defender was appointed earlier this summer as the club's first pathway development manager, overseeing players sent out on loan.
