Boss Chris Hughton believes there were more positives than negatives from drawing at home against promoted Fulham.

The Seagulls recovered from 2-0 down in the second half to stretch their record at the Amex to one defeat in nine.

Hughton said: "Irrespective of any balance of play or chances, when you are 2-0 down in the Premier League I think to come back from that there are certainly more positives than negatives, so it's a very good point for us.

"It's still relief because when you are 2-0 down on the law of averages are you going to come back from that? Probably the answer's no, but definitely we deserved it. We started the game really well.

"Perhaps over the 90 minutes if our game had been a little bit more clinical in that final third then I think it's a game we would have won."

Lewis Dunk was at fault for Alexandar Mitrovic's lead-doubler for Fulham on his return from an ankle injury - but Hughton is still pleased to have the influential central defender and stand-in skipper (below) fit again.

The Argus: He said: "I'm delighted to have him back. He's a very tough individual and that's why he was able to get back in this period of time."

Pascal Gross had an ankle strapped before his first half penalty was saved and he was replaced by Yves Bissouma after an hour.

Hughton said: "His ankle will be sore and going out in the second half it was a question of seeing how he was. I'm sure he will be fine."

Albion are back in Premier League action at Southampton on September 17.
