Luke Wright has predicted a last-game cliffhanger in Sussex's quest for promotion.

The county take on Wright's old county Leicestershire at Hove from today (10.30pm) in the thick of the race to regain top-flight status.

Leaders Warwickshire have also yet to visit the 1st Central County Ground.

Sussex have away games to play at Durham next week and Northants in the season's finale.

Wright, keen to shine after bagging an unfortunate pair at Lord's last week, told The Argus: "It was disappointing but it doesn't put us out of anything.

"Teams are pushing. Kent got a good win.

"But I think it’s going to go right down to the last game.

"We are just looking forward to it and the squad is in a good place.

"We play Warwickshire the game before last and they are in the driving seat.

"But we’ll see where we are when they come here.

"It’s a tough test this week against Leicestershire."

Kent, who have leapfrogged Sussex into second place, host Northants while Middlesex look to continue their late charge at Gloucestershire
