CRAWLEY are closing in on their new manager – with Italian coach Gabriele Cioffi the new red hot favourite.
Cioffi was on the coaching staff at Birmingham City during Gianfranco Zola’s ill-fated four-month tenure as boss.
The 42-year-old from Florence previously played for a host of Italian clubs, including Torino and Ascoli.
An announcement regarding Harry Kewell’s successor is likely today.
Reds could opt to keep stand-in due Filipe Morais and Jimmy Smith in place for tomorrow’s trip to League Two leaders Lincoln City while the new man settles in.
