Shane Duffy will have to wait until next month to equal or create an Albion international record.
The central defender was an unused substitute for the Republic of Ireland's 1-1 friendly draw in Poland tonight.
Duffy has won 16 caps as an Albion player, one behind the record jointly held by Gerry Ryan with the Republic of Ireland and Steve Penney for Northern Ireland.
The Republic have Nations League matches in October at home to Denmark and Wales.
Meanwhile, Beram Kayal played no part in Israel's friendly against Northern Ireland at Windsor Park, Belfast.
The Albion midfielder was released from the fixture for family reasons after playing most of last Friday's 1-0 defeat in Albania in the Nations League.
Elsewhere, the Seagulls' under-23s striker Aaron Connolly continued his rich vein of form with a header in a 2-0 win for Republic of Ireland under-19s against Wales in Galway.
Haydon Roberts, 16, who scored on his full debut for Albion under-23s against Manchester City, helped England under-17s win the eight-nations Syrenka Cup in Poland.
They thrashed Belgium 6-2 in the final.
