Chris Hughton has refused to write off Albion's chances against two more of the Premier League big guns.

Hughton meets his old club Spurs at the Amex, then takes the Seagulls to the Etihad to tackle champions Manchester City after Monday night's trip to Southampton.

Albion have already beaten Manchester United at home and ran Liverpool close at Anfield.

The south coast clash at St Mary's (8pm) appears to be the best chance of picking up points from the next three matches, but Hughton is not approaching the sequence that way.

He said; "I'd like to think we look at every game as a game you can win.

"There are of course different degrees of difficulty. When you're playing against a top six team, we all know how difficult they can be.

"I'd like to think our approach to every game is exactly the same. Southampton are on the back of a very good win in their last game (at Crystal Palace) and are a team I'm sure will be playing with a lot of confidence.

"What we can't do is underestimate the qualities they have got. They have got a very good squad and a very good team.

"We will have to play at the levels that we have done in the last three games to give ourselves a chance.

"But every game we play in, we would look at as an opportunity to get something."

Hughton has taken encouragement from the much-improved performance at Liverpool in Albion's last away game.

They were far better in the 1-0 defeat at Anfield than in the 2-0 setback at Watford on the opening day of the season.

Hughton (below)The Argus: said: "I've been there (Anfield) at times where it's very difficult to get a result and you can be on the end of a big defeat if you don't get things right.

"Our reaction from the first game (at Watford) was good, going into the Manchester United game and we continued that.

"Sometimes in those games, you need your Liverpools, your Tottenhams, your Manchester Citys, to not be at their best.

"There might have been an argument Liverpool weren't at their best in front of goal but I thought we were good on the day and that encourages me away from home.

"It's okay saying we were good at Liverpool and we were close to getting a result but when the next one comes around, which is on Monday night, we have to show we are looking to make progress away from home."
