BOSS Chris Hughton has urged Albion to cash in on a run of games without the ‘Big Six’.

The Seagulls have faced Manchester City, Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United in their opening seven matches.

They do not come across one of the Premier League powerhouses again until Chelsea visit in mid-December.

Hughton wants his side to capitalise on a friendlier sequence of fixtures, starting with West Ham’s visit tonight (8pm).

He said: “It’s really important for us. Probably what we don’t like to say is we don’t think we can’t get results against the top six.

“Certainly in our case, we’ve run them close in games.

“It goes without saying, we have better opportunities and better chances to get points against the teams outside of that six.

“It’s a big period for us and we need to make full benefit of it.”

Albion beat the Hammers twice last season and finished just two places and two points below them.

They will move above them in the bottom half of the table if they win tonight but Hughton says the Seagulls cannot be compared with the East Londoners as a top flight club.

“I don’t think you can gauge us with West Ham,” he told The Argus. “They have far more Premier League experience than us.

“I think there are clubs that are better comparisons than West Ham. They have far more experience and spending power than we have. It’s a wrong sort of comparison. The expectations are higher at West Ham than they are here.”
