Lewis Dunk is ready to pass his England test as he hopes for a first cap.
The Albion centre-back is in Rijeka ahead of the Nations League clash against World Cup finalists Croatia.
He is not expected to start but could get game time at some stage on Friday or against Spain in Seville on Monday.
That could mean being part of a back three and a pass-from-the-back style encouraged by boss Gareth Southgate.
Dunk believes he has the ability on the ball to cope.
He said: “Every team has got a different style but we bring it to this England style and play the way England want to pay.
“They have got a very good style of play now and I’m very happy to be involved and show what I can do in that passing style.
“England like to pass the ball a lot.
“We don’t do it as much (at Albion). We do it a little but not to this extent.
“But I feel I’m very comfortable on the ball and hopefully I show it in training this week.”
Dunk believes his exposure to the national set-up can benefit Albion on his return to club duty.
Boss Southgate, the former England centre-back, can be a big part of that.
Dunk said: “He understands my position the best anyone does.
“He played at the top level for many years doing my job.
“If I can take any bits and improve while I’m here and take it back the club, you never know. I might be called back in the future.”
