Shane Duffy was involved in penalty controversy – after he helped keep another clean sheet.
The Albion centre-back shared in his second successive shut out as the Republic of Ireland drew 0-0 at home to Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.
It followed the Seagulls’ 1-0 win over West Ham last Friday.
Duffy could have been a matchwinner at the other end.
He headed a good chance off target and, in added time, claimed a penalty as he contested a high ball with Henrik Dalsgaard.
Referee Javier Fernandez ruled there was no foul and booked Duffy for a dive.
Republic boss Martin O’Neill said a penalty would have been harsh on the Danes, although he was not questioned about the yellow card.
O’Neill said: “I’ve seen it back and I think it would have been harsh for them.
"I think the defender has come in and they have gone together. If it had been given against me, I wouldn’t have been too pleased with it.
“On the face of it – and I have seen it back very quickly - he has touched him but I don’t think it is a penalty.”
The Irish play Wales in Dublin on Tuesday before Duffy rejoins his club ahead of the trip to Newcastle United.
