Davy Propper will be missing from Albion's midfield for several weeks.
Boss Chris Hughton has confirmed the lay-off for the Dutch midfielder and revealed late decisions will be made on Pascal Gross (ankle), Dale Stephens (hamstring) and Gaetan Bong (knee) for Saturday's trip to Newcastle.
Propper sustained ankle ligament damage in the home victory over West Ham before the international break.
Hughton said today: "Davy Propper will be out for a period of weeks. We've got some late decisions to make, Pascal who is just back training with us, Dale and Gaetan who was away on international duty (Cameroon)."
