Beram Kayal has hailed a massive three points for Albion – after flicking home a cheeky winner.

The Israel midfielder got the final touch to Jose Izquierdo’s shot to secure a 1-0 win at Newcastle.

Success followed the 1-0 win at home to West Ham before the international rbeak.

He said: “It’s a massive three points and we deserved it.

“Sometimes you win games in a different way and the way we won was everyone put in more than 100%, put his body on the line. Everyone.

“To get a clean sheet is an amazing feeling – back to back.

“A first away win this season and at this place, which we know is a tough place.

“We knew they would press us hard because they needed the points but we planned the game very well.

“At the end of the day, we deserved the three points.”

Izquierdo initially celebrated the goal and was announced as the scorer as his shot deflected home – but replays proved it was Kayal’s touch.

Kayal added: “I said to him, ‘Brother - it’s mine, you get the assist’. But we were joking about that.”
