BERAM KAYAL has vowed to push on again – as he prepares to set a new personal best in the Premier League.

The midfielder is expected to make a fourth successive appearance in the Albion XI when Wolverhampton Wanderers visit the Amex on Saturday.

It would be his longest run yet as a starter in the English top flight.

The Israel international believes he proved some doubters wrong after emerging from injury problems.

But he is convinced there is still better to come.

Kayal told The Argus: “I have been on a good run. I feel my legs are good.

“The only thing is that, when it’s going well, you need to push harder to keep it.

“I’m hungry for more. Always the main thing at this club is the next game is the biggest game of the season.

“Obviously, Saturday is going to be the biggest game of the season for us.”

Kayal, who recently signed a new deal, believes he has repaid faith shown by boss Chris Hughton.

A run of busy performances has included match-winning assists for club and country followed by Albion’s precious goal at Newcastle.

The Seagulls’ central midfielders could face one of their toughest tests of the season against Wolves’ influential pairing of Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho.

Kayal is ready for it. He said: “I’ve been in tough times and I’ve tested myself and tested my character.

“I’m back now playing and it means a lot to me.

“It means a lot to my family because they were there for me.

“I never stopped believing, never stopped trying to prove people wrong, to prove I deserve to be playing.

“When the chances come, I’m happy with the trust I get from the gaffer.

“He gave me the new contract because I know how much he wants me to stay here.”

Kayal last made four successive league starts towards the end of the 2016-17 promotion season, when he had five games in a row.
