A minute's applause will be held in the 67th minute of Albion's match against Wolves at the Amex tomorrow in memory of Peter Brackley.

The broadcasting legend, Argus columnist and Seagulls supporter died earlier this month after battling illness, aged 67.

The club have compiled a tribute to Brackley on the big screens and a section of the matchday programme is also devoted to him.

Argus chief sports writer Andy Naylor says in the programme: "I had the good fortune to be parked next to Peter at an Albion function at the Amex a few years ago.

"A convivial evening in his company (it could not be anything else) spawned the idea of him writing a column for The Argus.

"The man emerged through his Thursday musings - the warmth, the wit, the self-deprecation.

"The copy always arrived punctually, with no need for re-writing.

"He did not even want paying, a clue to the generosity evident in many of his emails, sprinkled with compliments.

The Argus: "He even apologised in advance for making me the subject of one of his clever jokes in the show he wrote and presented so expertly at the Theatre Royal, 20 years on from The Goldstone.

"That now stands as a shining legacy to a master of his many crafts."
