Steven Alzate has signed a new three-year deal with Albion after impressing on loan at Swindon.
The forward, signed last year from Leyton Orient where he played in League Two, helped Simon Rusk's under-23s to promotion last season.
Alzate was called up to the first team squad for the January FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough and has scored twice in 16 appearances on loan to Swindon this season, including against Notts County last weekend.
Rusk said: "Steven had an excellent first season with the club, helping the under-23s win promotion.
"This season he's seized the opportunity he's been given with Swindon and is playing regular senior football.
"He's worked hard and made good progress there, and it's that hard work and progression which has earned him this new contract."
