RECORD signing Alireza Jahanbakhsh wants to up his game with Albion.

The Iran winger believes there is more to come after a run of four games off the bench followed by four successive starts.

Anthony Knockaert hopes to regain his place on the right flank when the Seagulls visit Cardiff City on Saturday.

Jahanbakhsh adapting to Premier League life after moving from Holland, said: “I knew before it was going to be difficult to start off with.

“There is more pace here, and I just have to get used to it.

“That’s all that matters.

“Obviously I expect more from myself.

“Hopefully, in the games that come, I can give a better performance.”

Iran have two friendlies during the forthcoming international break, against Trinidad and Tobago in Tehran next Thursday and versus Venezuela in Doha on Tuesday, November 20.

Albion under-23s’ trip to Lewes in the Parafix Sussex Senior Cup last night was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
