Glenn Murray wants Albion to capitalise on a friendlier run of fixtures.

Today’s trip to Cardiff (12.30) launches a sequence of four games against the Premier League’s bottom seven, combined with a visit from tenth-placed Leicester straight after the international break.

That is followed, in the space of a week, by matches away to Huddersfield and Burnley either side of Crystal Palace at the Amex.

Top scorer Murray told The Argus: “Right now we are in a good place and go into a group of fixture we believe we can pick points up in.

“No games are easy in the Premier League, they are so much up for grabs and there is so much at stake, but we go into a group of fixtures now against teams that are in and around us.

“Some may feel they are in a slightly higher bracket. We feel in this run of games up to mid-December we can get some points out of that run.”

Albion are comfortably placed in 12th with 14 points after a tough start against six of the top nine in their opening 11 games.

Murray has scored six goals, despite his team-mates delivering only 149 crosses, the lowest total below Fulham (159) and Arsenal (160).

“I read the stat,” Murray said. “I am averaging 1.3 shots per game at the moment. If we could get that up a little bit it would make me much happier, and a few more crosses as well.

“It’s all relative. I’d rather have one brilliant cross than 25 bad crosses.

“At the moment we’re pretty happy with where we stand, the points we’ve got, the games we’ve played, the teams we’ve played as well.”
