Albion were left fuming by a late winner for Cardiff which was not disallowed.
Replays showed scorer Sol Bamba was offside as he scrambled three points for the Welshmen at the death in their 2-1 victory.
Albion central defender Shane Duffy said: "There's a lot of anger at the minute. We felt like we deserved a point, and we are disappointed at the end.
"We knew he was offside straight away, you could see the reaction of players. There's a lot of anger in the dressing room."
It was not the only controversial decision by referee Martin Atkinson.
Albion had to play with ten men from the 34th minute after Dale Stephens was sent-off for a tackle on Greg Cunningham.
Former Albion defender Liam Rosenior, summarising on Sky Sports, said: "For me it's not a red. Dale gets the ball."
