Chris Hughton admitted Albion were not good enough in the second half against ten-man Leicester.

The Seagulls drew 1-1, despite the double first-half boost of a Glenn Murray goal and the dismissal of James Maddison.

But they were pegged back by Jamie Vardy’s penalty.

Albion boss Hughton said: “I’m hugely disappointed. We were in a similar position at Cardiff.

“These have got very good players, good athletes who can break.

“You have got to do one of two things. You’ve either got to not concede - and we have conceded a really poor goal.

“Or you have got to take advantage of it.

“I thought we were in the final third, particularly in the wide areas, probably more than we have been in any game this season.

“That’s normal because you’re up against ten men.

“What you’ve got to do is capitalise on it.

“We’ve gone through, apart from the goal, a 90-minute period without having that clear-cut chance.

“Unless you do that there is always a chance the opposition are going to score.”

He added: “If we get a second goal, we win the game. Of that I am quite sure.

“Unless you do that there is always a chance the opposition will get behind the ball, defend well and use the offensive qualities they have got.”
