Sussex will start and end their 2019 Championship season at Hove.

But relegated big guns Lancashire will not visit Sussex next year.

And the county have only one match against last term’s strugglers Glamorgan.

Sussex remain in the nine-team second tier but again have only seven games at home and away.

They do not visit Glamorgan or Leicestershire and do not host Lancashire or Derbyshire.

Ben Brown’s men start the Championship season versus Leicestershire at the 1st Central County Ground from Friday, April 5.

They then go to Durham and Northants before hosting Glamorgan from Bank Holiday Monday at the end of May.

The Arundel fixture next year will be against Gloucestershire from Tuesday, June 11.

Sussex will hope to be in promotion contention at the end of the season.

If that is the case, their hopes could come down to the season-closer versus Worcestershire at Hove from Monday, September 23.
