LEON BALOGUN has relived the golden moment he scored with his first touch.
The defender went on to replace Shane Duffy in defence and immediately put Albion 2-0 up from a corner.
He told The Argus: “When I saw the ball bouncing I thought it’s going to be a tough one so it was ‘Hit it right!’.
“Luckily I hit it right – great feeling!”
Balogun is now set for a run in the side with Duffy facing a three-match ban.
And he believes he can improve on a display which saw him give away a late Palace spot-kick.
He added: “I’m a bit sad about the penalty. I see it as a dark spot on a great performance by the team being one man down.”
