ALBION midfielder Davy Propper has sympathised with the plight of fellow countryman Jurgen Locadia.

Dutchman Propper has thrived since joining the Seagulls from PSV Eindhoven at the start of last season but striker Locadia has struggled after making the same move in January.

Locadia spoke out last month in an interview with a Dutch newspaper, expressing his frustration at a lack of opportunities and hinting at a January exit.

Propper told The Argus: "It's difficult for him, especially when he came here.

"He saw a chance to play a lot of games, to score, to do whatever he did in Holland.

"He still has to wait a little longer, especially with Glenn Murray scoring a lot of goals.

"It's difficult for him. We try to keep him close to the group.

"It is also a feeling in his head. I can't change that. He wants to play and that's normal."

Propper is keen to round off a busy week by building on the victories over Huddersfield and Crystal Palace at next-to-bottom Burnley tomorrow in the absence of Shane Duffy, who begins a three-match ban.

"We want to make a perfect week," Propper said. "To win three games in a week would be amazing and that's what we are going for.

"From last year I know they (Burnley) are a physical team. They like to play long balls and they are good from set pieces. It will be tough without Shane but we will be prepared."
