Brian Owen and Andy Naylor rate the performances of the Albion players in the 1-0 defeat at Burnley.
MATHEW RYAN 6: Unconvincing on the set-piece and follow-up cross which brought the goal. Made two sharp first-half saves, the best low from Brady.
BRUNO 7: Brought back for this tough battle and, and apart from once when beaten by Brady, battled well and played when possible.
LEON BALOGUN 7: Kicked off what is likely to be at least a trilogy of starts in decent fashion. Defended well and is comfortable on the ball.
LEWIS DUNK 8: A couple of notable second-half interventions, sliding to block and back-pedalling to head. Albion’s only real target at set pieces.
BERNARDO 7: Concession of a free-kick when Gudmundsson got away from him proved fateful. But it was generally another strong performance at left-back.
ANTHONY KNOCKAERT 5: Frustrating afternoon for the substituted Frenchman on his return to the starting line-up in place of the injured Izquierdo (knee).
Summed up by thumping the floor when firing over.
DAVY PROPPER 6: It got a bit tight at times in central midfield but the Dutchman was tidy as usual. Might have made more of a first half shooting opportunity over the bar.
YVES BISSOUMA 7: Involved in most of Albion's more promising attacking moments. Continued to grow on his third start in a row, keeping out the suspension-free Stephens and Kayal.
SOLLY MARCH 7: Switched to the left with Knockaert's inclusion. Few chances to test Bardsley First half. Set place deliveries after the break were decent and shot just wide late on.
PASCAL GROSS 5: Still getting the hang of things again after three months out with ankle trouble. German did not make much of an impact and was eventually substituted.
FLORIN ANDONE 6: No goal this time for the relentless Romanian. Generally well shackled by the Mee/Tarkoswksi combination before giving way to Murray.
Subs
JURGEN LOCADIA: Should have equalised.
GLENN MURRAY: Set up Locadia's chance and went close himself.
DALE STEPHENS: Back from ban late on.
