Albion's young hot-shot Aaron Connolly could be marked by a fellow award nominee tonight.

The teenage Republic of Ireland marksman and Leicester defender Joshua Knight have both been shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for November.

Eighteen-year-old Connolly, previously nominated twice this season, scored six times last month.

He hit a hat-trick in the Checkatrade Trophy win at MK Dons and three in the league, including a double in the 3-2 victory from 2-0 down at Swansea.

Centre-back Knight helped this evening's Lancing training complex visitors Leicester (7pm) to a 0-0 draw with Manchester City.

He was on the bench for the Foxes' first team fixture at Fulham last week.

The shortlist, selected after PL2 club coaches nominated the best performance by an opposing player in each of their league matches, also includes Blackburn striker Daniel Butterworth, Wolves midfielder Sadou Diallo, Everton's Dutch forward Nathangelo Markelo and West Brom striker Callum Morton.

Fifth-placed Albion, four points above Leicester in the table, will move above Manchester City and Chelsea into the top three if they win their game in hand.

Connolly will be joined in the line-up by Viktor Gyokeres. Both travelled with the first team to Burnley on Saturday but were not involved in the squad.
