Stuart Attwell will referee Albion for the first time this season when they take on Chelsea.
The Nuneaton-based official has been appointed for the lunchtime showdown at the Amex on Sunday.
It will be his first Seagulls fixture since a memorable Sunday for Chris Hughton’s men.
Attwell was the man in the middle for Albion’s 2-1 win at home to Arsenal in March.
He has shown 37 yellow cards and one red in 12 fixtures this term.
The sending-off came in a Carabao Cup tie as he dismissed Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero against Derby.
