DALE STEPHENS has urged Albion to improve their away form to better last season's Premier League finish.

Albion won 11 points on their travels last season, the lowest tally in the division, on their way to a total of 40 and 15th.

They have seven points so far away from the Amex as they head along the south coast to Bournemouth on Saturday after Sunday's 2-1 home defeat by Chelsea.

Stephens told The Argus: "Obviously it's a different task. One we are going to go into full of confidence.

"We'll work all week and plan how to beat them. Regardless of their situation, we know what we have to do.

"We have to pick up points away from home if we are going to improve on what we did last year."

The clash against Bournemouth, who are two points and two places better off in 11th, launches a testing festive programme for Albion of four matches in 12 days, including visits by Arsenal and Everton together with a trip to West Ham.

Stephens, restored to the starting line-up against Chelsea following a ban, said: "We knew Christmas time would be a tough period for us. If anything, we do take a bit of confidence from the second-half performance.

"It's going okay. There's a lot of work still to be done. We've played well of late, picked up quite a few points.

"We're happy with how we have done up to now but we've got a lot of points to play for and this week is hopefully the start of many more."
