Chris Hughton is disappointed not to be celebrating a second win in successive seasons for his Albion side over Arsenal at the Amex.
The Seagulls, having defeated the Gunners 2-1 in March, looked the likelier winners in the second half of this evening's 1-1 stalemate.
Hughton said: "Probably that's the overriding feeling (disappointed not to win), particularly having started so poorly.
"At that stage if they get the second goal it becomes really hard for us, but there is that difference between being 1-0 and 2-0 down.
"The goal came at a good time. I thought we were really good in the second half and probably if I felt any side was going to score then it was us.
"If we'd had a little bit more composure in their box - Solly March's chance - then I think we would have won."
Jurgen Locadia, substituted on a rare start at Bournemouth on Saturday, rewarded Hughton's faith in keeping him in the team with the equaliser.
"I'm really pleased that he played well, even more pleased that he got the goal," Hughton said.
