Dale Stephens has lauded the potential of Albion midfield rival Yves Bissouma.
Stalwart Stephens, hit by injury and suspension, has made fewer Premier League appearances so far this season than the Seagulls’ near-£14 million summer buy from Lille.
Stephens told the Argus: “Obviously I want to play every game I can but I think it’s healthy. I quite enjoy the competition.
“It’s the sort of environment that you want to play in and improve in. I train against Biss. He’s one of the best players I’ve played with.
“The amount of ability he has got for a young lad (22), he will just improve me himself by playing against him every day.
“It’s something you want to thrive off and make yourself better.”
