DAVID BUTTON 8

Will not forget his top flight debut in a hurry. One scare spilling a cross but made some good saves. The best was exceptional to divert Richarlison's shot against the far post.

MARTIN MONTOYA 8

Spaniard is growing with a run of games, showing what he can do going forward as well as defending. Making it tough for Bruno to get a look-in.

SHANE DUFFY 8

Towering presence against his first club inside his own penalty area. Just the one blip when Richarlison caught him in possession.

LEWIS DUNK (above) 8

Fitting way to celebrate 250th appearance for the club on return from suspension. Composed and dominant.

BERNARDO 8

Deceptively strong in the air, athletic, bundles of pace, energy and determination. Did well against Walcott.

PASCAL GROSS 7

It felt like he was quiet at the time - but his pinpoint delivery led to the goal and Pickford's two testing saves from Andone.

DALE STEPHENS 7

Caused a few alarms with an errant back pass but did a sound job at the base of the midfield three.

DAVY PROPPER 8

Is relishing the current midfield set-up. Brilliant skills to set up an Andone chance and again got well forward on occasions.

SOLLY MARCH 7

Seemed to relish the competitive nature of the afternoon. A source of danger down the right, where he appears to have struck up a rapport with Montoya.

FLORIN ANDONE (above) 7

His pace troubled the Everton back three and he was denied a headed goal by a fine reflex save from Pickford. Needed to get the shot off slightly quicker when put through by Propper.

JURGEN LOCADIA 8

Suddenly he can do very little wrong. Showed a predatory goal-poacher’s instinct for the winner and linked up well from his role on the left.
