ANTHONY Knockaert has been revealed as Albion's fastest player.

But he may not get a chance to show his speed tonight at the London Stadium where Usain Bolt won Olympic gold in 2012.

The French flyer is in the squad against West Ham after he was left out of Saturday's home win over Everton.

Left-back Bernardo faces Albion's wingers in training. The young Brazilian is no slouch himself but admits it is hard to keep up with Knockaert.

Bernardo told The Argus: "In Germany they checked the fastest players from the Bundesliga and I was in seventh place. I told the guys that here. They didn't believe me!

"The fastest here, Anthony is very fast, Solly (March). Speed wise Anthony is the most difficult one to defend.

"Solly is also very fast but he likes to dribble, so he sometimes stops and it gives you a second chance.

"With Anthony he relies a lot on his speed and it's a race, win or lose, and I've lost many times."

West Ham have lost 19 of 48 Premier League matches at the former Olympic Stadium since moving from Upton Park two-and-a-half seasons ago.

Bernardo, signed from Red Bull Leipzig, said: "I'm a big fan of stadiums and I like stadiums with soul. I'm not a big, big fan of the new arenas.

"I like, for example, Everton's stadium, Newcastle, Old Trafford. Our stadium is also nice. The atmosphere fits with the club.

"But it will be a special atmosphere. Usain Bolt ran on the track and so many athletes, such a huge event happened there, it brings a different feeling.

"In Brazil I was always with my dad going to the Sao Paulo stadium, called Morumbi, and there is a running track, then there is a garden, then the stands.

"In Germany there are a lot, like the Olympic iconic one from Berlin. In Brazil it's very common. With the World Cup, the new arenas they tried to take the tracks from it. In Germany a bit less but I have played in them a lot and I like this kind of stadium."
