Albion have cut short the season-long loan of under-23s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to Forest Green Rovers.
The Spaniard was due to be with the League Two promotion challengers for the season.
He has been brought back to provide additional cover for David Button and Jason Steele, with Mathew Ryan on Asian Cup duty for Australia and Christian Walton on loan at Wigan.
Manager Chris Hughton said: "Robert has enjoyed a beneficial period on loan at Forest Green, where he has been able to pick up valuable experience at senior level.
"However, with Maty away on international duty, it's necessary for us to recall Robert from his loan spell, as we look to provide support for both David and Jason over the coming weeks."
Sanchez made 17 appearances for Rovers, helping Mark Copper's side to fifth place in the table.
His farewell appearance for the Gloucestershire club came in a dramatic 2-1 victory at Yeovil Town, which included two stoppage-time strikes for the visitors.
Sanchez was awarded a new three-year contract in April.
