Florin Andone wants Albion to score a landmark Premier League win – and dedicate it to their fans and families.

Albion aim for a first ever home top-flight win over Liverpool when they tackle Jurgen Klopp’s table-toppers on Saturday.

Andone suffered heavily at the hands of the big two Real Madrid and Barcelona during his time in Spain.

This is the first time Albion have played at home to a table-topping team since Huddersfield visited in the Championship in September 2016 – and were beaten 1-0.

Andone would love a repeat of that scoreline.

He said: “You can be in the best moment and Liverpool can beat you 5-0.

“We will try to do all the best for our fans and our families and we will try to win the game. We’ll see.”

Liverpool saw their lead trimmed to four points when they lost their most recent league game at Manchester City.

But Andone said: “Manchester City is one of the best in the world so I don’t know if Liverpool losing to them is a bad or a good thing for us.

“I know Liverpool are very strong, one of the best teams in the world, and it will be very hard.”

Andone only played four minutes against Spanish table-toppers Barcelona last season while with Deportivo La Coruna, going on late in a 4-2 home defeat.

He was part of defeats by 3-0 and 7-1 to Real Madrid.

Albion have won at home to Liverpool in the FA Cup and the old Second Division but not in the top flight.
