Bernardo is out of Albion's clash against Premier League leaders Liverpool at the Amex on Saturday.
The Brazilian left-back has not recovered from a hamstring injury which forced him off in the closing stages of the 2-2 draw at West Ham.
Gaetan Bong, who played in the FA Cup win at Bournemouth, comes back into the defence in place of Bernardo.
