ALBION will have a bumper crowd for Saturday’s FA Cup tie against West Brom at the Amex.

The clash against the Championship promotion contenders has bucked the trend of low attendances in the competition, with supporters capitalising on low prices and a rare opportunity to buy in bulk.

As of yesterday morning more than 26,000 tickets had been sold for the fourth round tie.

Home fans have snapped up over 23,000 seats, while in excess of 3,000 visiting supporters are making the journey down from the West Midlands.

Albion are hopeful the attendance could push towards the 30,000 mark again by Saturday.

The club priced the tie competitively from £15 for adults and £5 concessions, with transport included.

They have also sold tickets stage by stage for various sections of the stadium, rather than season ticket holders buying their own seats.

That has prompted multiple group sales by families and friends which Albion anticipate will create more of a carnival atmosphere.

Initially only the lower tiers of the stands were open but demand soon led to the opening of the upper tiers.

Meanwhile, Albion are inching towards completing the capture of Argentinian midfield prospect Alexis Mac Allister.

Negotiations to finalise a deal with Mac Allister's club, Argentinos Juniors, are progressing.

However, no medical has been organised and details of where Mac Allister will remain on loan in Argentina until the summer have yet to be concluded.

Argentinos Juniors are battling with Boca Juniors for the services of the 20-year-old before he links up with Albion.

Mac Allister claimed in a radio interview in Argentina that he was heading to Albion for a medical and would stay with Argentinos until June.
