Albion under-23 midfielder Mathias Normann has joined Russian club FC Rostov after playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The 22-year-old Norwegian has made a permanent exit from the Seagulls on undisclosed terms following 11 appearances for Simon Rusk's under-23s this season.

Normann had an extended loan spell at Molde with Manchester United's interim manager Solskjaer in Norway's top tier last season after Albion signed him from second division FK Bodo/Glimt on a contract until June 2020.

Rusk said: "It's been enjoyable to work with Mathias during his time at the club, but this move makes sense for all parties involved, with it being an excellent move for him."
