Albion are at odds with Bolton over the valuation of long-time target Luca Connell.

The Argus understands an offer is on the table from the Seagulls for the 17-year-old Republic of Ireland youth international midfielder.

Cash-starved Wanderers have so far been reluctant to lose Connell as the clock ticks towards the 11pm close of the transfer window.

Albion have been monitoring Connell for 18 months.

He made his league debut in Tuesday's 1-1 Championship draw at home to fellow strugglers Reading after two appearances in the FA Cup.

Meanwhile, a busy transfer window of under-23s ins and outs for Albion could continue in the next few hours with two overseas signings.
