Jose Izquierdo is creeping back towards a return for Albion.
The Colombian left-winger, described by manager Chris Hughton as the "missing link" in his attacking options, is on the verge of returning to training after three months out with a recurrence of knee trouble sustained at the World Cup.
Hughton revealed: "We are hoping he is going to train this morning, which would be a major plus for us.
"Then it's him getting as many training sessions in to build up his levels."
Dale Stephens, a late withdrawal from the 0-0 home draw against Watford with a hip problem, faces a race against time to be fit for Burnley's visit on Saturday.
Hughton said: "We'll assess him today and we would hopefully expect him to train either today or tomorrow."
Albion suffered no fresh injuries in last night's FA Cup win at West Brom.
