Albion under-23s keeper Hugo Keto has joined Irish club Waterford on loan until the end of June.

The transfer window is open in Ireland until February 22, enabling Keto to make the temporary move to gain more experience.

The Finland under-21 international signed for Albion from Arsenal in July on a free transfer until 2020.

Keto, 21, has kept four clean sheets in 13 appearances for the under-23s, but Robert Sanchez was recalled last month from a loan spell with Forest Green Rovers.

Under-23s coach Simon Rusk said: "Hugo has proved a great addition to the squad since arriving at the beginning of the season, stepping straight into the side and contributing towards our positive start to life in the top division.

"But this move will provide Hugo with his first taste of senior football, and it comes at an important stage of his career in terms of development.

"With Robert Sanchez returning from Forest Green, it opens the door for Hugo to get that experience and we wish him the best of luck during his time in Ireland."
