Glenn Murray fancies forming a “little and large” strike partnership with Florin Andone.
Top scorer Murray believes the summer signing will be raring to go after completing his current three-game ban.
He has revealed the pair have already spoken about how they would work together in attack given the opportunity.
Murray believes a partnership could work along similar lines to that he struck up with Sam Baldock in the Championship.
Albion’s 12-goal marksman told The Argus: “We have spoken about it and we feel as though we could play together. That ‘little and large’ again.
“Me and Sam forged a good relationship through it so you never know.
“Hopefully it will come in the future. He’s hungry. He is determined and I like that about him.
“He has come to England to prove a point and he is trying to do that.”
Murray believes the tactic could have been used as Albion chased the game against Burnley had Andone not received a retrospective three-game ban for elbowing in the FA Cup replay at West Bromwich.
He added: “Losing him is a blow because he gives us a different dimension. I think we would have probably gone 4-4-2 at some point (against Burnley) but it has happened, it is something we have got to deal with.
“I’m sure Flo will be working hard and will be ready and raring to go as soon as his ban is over.”
Andone has scored four goals for Albion, two of them in the FA Cup.
But Murray believes he gave a glimpse of what more there is to come with one which got away – a disallowed effort at the Hawthorns.
Murray said: “Unfortunately he was offside but, when he rises to head that ball, he doesn’t realise he is offside.
“I think it’s a fantastic finish.”
