Anthony Knockaert says his latest return to Leicester will be special.
The French winger is back in Albion’s starting XI for the Premier League tonight.
Knockaert experienced play-off heartbreak and title-winning delight with the Foxes and remains popular with their fans.
He wore a special tracksuit top in honour of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha after the Leicester owner died in a helicopter crash earlier this season.
Knockaert told The Argus: “Yes, it’s special. I still have Leicester in my heart and I had a great time there.
“I won the Championship as well with them so it’s a great club.
“Last year when I went back they gave me a really warm welcome.
“Obviously I was really sad at what happened there with the chairman, who I knew really well, and it will be really good to see some old faces there and the fans.
“And obviously I hope we are going to win too.”
Knockaert has scored two FA Cup goals since last starting a league game, at home to Chelsea on December 16.
He started Albion’s first eight Premier League fixtures this season but has only been in the initial XI for four of the subsequent 18 league games before tonight.
Albion: Ryan; Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bong; Stephens, Gross, Propper; Knockaert, Murray, March. Subs: Button, Burn, Bernardo, Bissouma, Jahanbakhsh, Locadia, Izquierdo.
