Huddersfield boss Jan Siewert has vowed to take the survival fight to the Amex after seeing his side shock Wolves.

But he was planning to enjoy a celebratory beer first.

The Terriers grabbed their first win since November when Steve Mounie scored the only goal of last night’s game in added time.

Huddersfield's run of one point from 14 matches began with defeat at home to Albion – after Mounie was sent off for a foul on Yves Bissouma.

Now they aim to turn the tables when they visit the Seagulls on Saturday.

Siewert said: “I told you right from the beginning. I know that it won't be easy but we'll keep on fighting.

"Let me calculate. Ten more games. There's still a chance.

"You couldn't believe how much we have suffered these last few weeks, with the unlucky moments.

"But the fight comes first in the game and they really showed it today. I really enjoyed celebrating after the game."

Huddersfield clinched their third league win of the season but Siewert quickly turned his attention to Albion.

Asked if he would celebrate his first points as Huddersfield boss, the German added: "Maybe a bit, maybe just one beer. Maybe two. But look at the time.

"On Saturday there is a game and there's still something possible, so we have to keep on working."

Albion’s scouting team will have watched Huddersfield's win with interest.

Siewert made eight team changes. They included the introduction of Karlan Grant, a £1.5million January signing from Charlton, and he injected much-needed pace into the attack on his first Prem start.

Grant scored nine league goals in 15 games on loan at Crawley last season.
