Davy Propper applauded supersub Florin Andone's match-winner against Huddersfield.

The striker rose superbly to head home Anthony Knockaert's cross to secure three precious points at the Amex and move five points clear of the last relegation place.

Midfielder Propper said: "It was a good goal. It was a good cross from Anthony and he’s a real striker and got in the right position.

"But we could have made it a little bit easier for ourselves if we had scored a second one as well.”

The Dutchman felt the Seagulls were worthy of more goals but settled for the vital points.

He added: "We had to step up. The first half wasn’t our best half and in the second we put a bit of pressure on them.

"The three points was the most important thing today.

“I felt we had some good chances so we are happy.”
