JURGEN LOCADIA faces a fight to regain a place with Albion.

The Dutchman was left out of the squad for the 1-0 win against Huddersfield after 16 appearances in succession.

The return from suspension of match winner Florin Andone and from injury of late substitute Jose Izquierdo has increased competition for attacking places.

Solly March also missed out against Huddersfield.

The winger was relegated to the bench and unused, ending his ever-present record in the Premier League this season.

Boss Chris Hughton revealed to The Argus: "I was always going to put Jose on the bench and Florin. Probably the decision I had to make was Solly or Jurgen.

"It was a close call. Between the two of them you are trying to anticipate how a game might go.

"There will be certain circumstances where we could do with Jurgen on the bench and certainly with Solly.

"But it was a very close call and he (Locadia) has been in and around it and played a lot of games."

Locadia has been used primarily on the left since Hughton switched to a 4-3-3 formation in December.

The former PSV Eindhoven forward was on target over Christmas to earn Albion a home win and draw against Everton and Arsenal.

He returned to the scoresheet last month in the fifth round of the FA Cup against Derby County. The Seagulls are at Millwall in the quarter-finals on Sunday March 17 (2pm) after Saturday's derby against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
