MATHEW RYAN has revealed he is only halfway there as he eyes a derby day clean sheet.

Albion have kept six Premier League shutouts this season having targeted 11.

David Button helped them to a 1-0 win over Everton, leaving Ryan a personal goal of ten blanks for the Prem campaign providing he sees out the season.

The 1-0 win over Huddersfield, in which he made saves from Steve Mounie and Juninho Bacuna, was his fifth ‘nil’.

Ryan told The Argus: “It’s a team ambition as well as an individual one.

“We have goals we set out at the start of the season across numerous aspects of the team and what we can achieve.

“Eleven clean sheets was the goal this season having got ten last season.

“This year we have been having to work harder for them and they have come along a bit slower than last season.

“We had that run of three in a row earlier in the season and then nothing after that but then Watford and again on Saturday, so hopefully we can get to that mark and, if we do, then it is going to be coupled with us being safe for next season.”

Palace have only scored ten goals in 14 home league games.

But they have netted at least once in all six of their home matches in league and cup in 2019.
