ALBION hope FA Cup lightning does not strike twice for Chris Kavanagh.

The referee from Manchester will take charge of their FA Cup sixth-round tie at Millwall.

Kavanagh has only refereed one match in this season’s competition and it saw a Premier League team upset away to lower division opponents in hostile surroundings.

He was the man in the middle when Leicester went out 2-1 at Newport County in the third round.

Kavanagh last did the middle in an Albion game when Leicester visited the Amex this season.

He sent off Foxes midfielder James Maddison for two yellow card offences, the second of which was diving, and later awarded the penalty from which Jamie Vardy secured a 1-1 draw.

Kavanagh will be assisted by Dan Cook and Sian Massey-Ellis as well as fourth official Kevin Friend. VAR will not be in operation.
