Raul Jimenez enhanced his reputation as one of the signings of the season by helping Wolves to their first FA Cup semi-final for 21 years at the expense of Manchester United.

The Mexican centre-forward opened the scoring in the second half of Wanderers' 2-1 victory at Molineux.

Jimenez, signed on a season-long loan from Benfica, has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 30 Premier League games for promoted Wolves.

They paid a £2.5 million fee in the loan deal and will have to fork out £32 million to seal the permanent capture of the 27-year-old, who has expressed a desire to stay.

Diogo Jota made sure of the latest triumph for Wolves, who are seventh in the table, with his seventh goal in 14 games.

Marcus Rashford's reply five minutes into injury time came too late to rescue United from a second successive defeat under Old Gunnar Solskjaer.

The winners of tomorrow's tie between Albion and Millwall at the Den will face Wolves, Watford or Manchester City in the semi-finals at Wembley.
