Mathew Ryan passed on the credit to his Albion team-mates for their first clean sheet away from home for six months.

The Australian made a vital second half save from sub Leander Denodoncker after Jota headed against the post for Wolves but he was appreciative of the efforts of those in front of him.

"That point could well go on to make the difference at the end of the day," Ryan said.

"We need to collect more but points are vital at this stage. We've really been looking for a reaction in recent weeks to get back that solidity.

"To have a clean sheet is credit to everyone.

"I can only make the saves the defence allow me to. When they are busting a gut and throwing themselves at everything, it's making the opposition work extra hard to create those opportunities."

Ryan, speaking to Sky Sports, said of his key save from Dendoncker: "I was able to get out there quick and spread myself. That's credit to the defence and everyone in front of me. When I say defence it starts from the striker and all the way back.

"It was a fantastic effort to not give them too much space. It enabled me to help the team and get there in the end."

Albion now go to Spurs on Tuesday, with Ryan calling for more of the same.

He said: "Every game is a final. We need to leave everything out on the pitch.

"One thing we have been guilty of recently, I just feel like we haven't been wanting it as much as the opposition, which is frustrating.

"It was that sort of thing earlier in the season which we based our success on. We had a chance to right the wrong and I think, in that aspect, we fixed that and we've got a point to show for it."
