Chris Hughton wants a repeat of the industry and determination which earned Albion a 0-0 draw at Wolves in their remaining matches.

The Seagulls visit Hughton's old club Spurs on Tuesday and still have to play Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester City in the battle to beat the drop.

He said: "I'm just hoping we can take value from the manner of the result.

"We knew it was going to be very difficult aainst a side that has had a very good season, got a lot of gifted players.

"We had to show that type of work ethic, determination.

"If we had showed anything less we wouldn't have got a result. I'm really pleased with the reaction and hopefully we can take that through to the end of the season."

Albion's second clean sheet in 13 matches in all competitions at Molineux was accompanied by the goal drought stretching to six games since Solly March's last-gasp equaliser at Millwall last month in the FA Cup.

Hughton said: "The only reason we were able to get a result was because of what the players put in. We are lacking a little bit of confidence in front of goal, getting into those areas, creativity.

"We are finding it hard to score. That is the next bit but if we can show that type of determination in all the games, we at least give ourselves a chance.

"We were on the back of two very disappointing results (5-0 Bournemouth and 2-0 Cardiff at home). The reaction was right and shows we are not such a bad team."

Albion will check on the extent of Davy Propper's hamstring injury tomorrow.

Bruno also went off in the second half but Hughton believes the veteran skipper's injury is less serious.
