Bruno is set for talks with Albion over his future after announcing he is to hang up his boots.

The skipper has revealed he plans to remain living in Hove with his wife and two children.

Albion would love him to remain part of their set-up off the pitch.

Bruno said today: “I'm really happy the club want me to stay around. We will talk after a little break.

"I'm delighted and I want to, because Brighton is my home.

"It's a decision I took a few months ago, but you have to process everything.

"Of course it was a difficult decision but at the same time quite easy. This was my 20th season. It's been a great journey.

“My missus, my kids love living here and we're going to stay."

Bruno's children Pol and Adriana will be mascots for Sunday's game against Manchester City.

Team-mates were told the news of his retirement this morning and Bruno was thrilled by their reaction.

He said: That's one of the best things, all the messages.

"I have been with some of them for a long time. I'm a football player but I'm a human being as well. That for me is a really important part."
